There are many companies whose executives choose responsible advertising.  Not only do we want to boycott those products whose advertising is offensive, but we want to support those who choose not to sell with sex, violence, degradation, or emaciated models.

Here are a sample of products that you may feel you want to support.  Please contact them to let them know of your support and your reasoning behind it. See some of the ad photos below.

 

DOVE:  It is about time someone did it.  Please check out http://www.campaignforrealbeauty.com/ and let them know you approve of what they are doing.

NIKE: Nike recently placed ads with the banner line of "My butt is big" and ended with "And those who might scorn it are invited to Kiss it."  Thank you NIKE.

REEBOK: The advertising line for Reebock shows strong and athletic women in competitive poses that are not at all suggestive or sexualized.  Support Reebok for showing the ability of women, not the sexuality of women!!!  Contact them at http://www.reebok.com/ or Reebok International Ltd., PO Box 1060, Ronks, PA 17573

GIRLS INC: A recent ad for Girlsinc.org started with "Tell me to throw every inch of my 4 foot frame into everything I do"  and showed a young girl playing either baseball or softball.   See http://www.girlsinc.org/

EILEEN FISHER:  This company has had multiple ads supportive of women.  One states "I've developed an eye for whats real in people and things."  Another says "Women change the world every day." Write them at Eileen Fisher, 2 Bridge Street,  Irvington, NY 10533 or http://www.eileenfisher.com/ 

BAN DEODERANT:  One ad for ban showcases their product (imagine that) with the phrases "Ban Self Doubt, Ban Excuses, Ban Peer Pressure, Ban Fear, Ban Stereotypes, Ban Inhibition, Ban Broken Hearts, Ban Conformity, Ban Ignorance, Ban Hate."  Write to Ban in support at Ban Deodorant, The Andrew Jergens Company, 2535 Spring Grove Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45214-1773

FILA:  Like Reebock, FILA has had great ads showcasing women's athletic achievments and their strength and determination.  Support them by writing

FRUIT OF THE LOOM: Fruit of the loom should be applauded for choosing to advertise their new line of underwear- Fit for me- without using Barbie doll look a-likes.  Contact them at http://www.fruit.com/.
